The walls of the subcutaneous fat cells grow thicker with deposits of fibrous collagen, this mass locks in tissue fluid and toxins, giving the skin a dimpled orange peel appearance. A sedentary lifestyle, sluggish lymphatic system and unhealthy diet all contribute to the condition.
