Should the patient feel breathless whilst on the machine, too much fluid is being moved.STOP USING IMMEDIATELY.

Patient Assessment/Details To Be Recorded
A detailed record must be maintained for all patients recieving Sequential Compressin Therapy. This should include:
Conditions to be treated
Patients Medication/Current treatment
Duration of condition
Previous treatment and patient response.

LYMPHOEDEMA

Lymphoedema occurs when there is an excessive accumulation of water and solid components in the tissues.
The most common causes of lymphoedema are:
Congenital abnormalities
Damage to the lymphatic system
: Surgery
: Trauma
: Radiation Damage
: Infection
: Tumour Development

Clinical signs include
: Thickening and fibrotic changes of the tissues
: Blistering of the skin
: Hyperkeratosis
